GOVERNMENT IN ACTION – ACCOUNTABILITY IN MOTION
Every household deserves services that arrive on time, money spent where it matters, and infrastructure that changes lives.
That is why the O.R. Tambo District-Wide Infrastructure Forum (DWIF) — led by the Provincial Municipal Infrastructure & Service Delivery (MISD) wing from Cogta Eastern Cape has brought together municipal technocrats, sector departments(DEDEAT & DFFE) Department of Economic Development, Environmental Affairs and Tourism,
Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, Executive Mayors, Mayors, and MMCs to:
✅ Report back on progress made in implementing previous DWIF meeting resolutions, track SDBIP quarterly targets in line with B2B-PMISD, and reflect on municipal performance.
✅ Assess sector infrastructure programmes progress, challenges, and solutions and ensure accountability from all sectors.
✅ Coordinate district-wide projects with COGTA, strengthen RAS implementation to end underspending, and ensure value for money on every project.
✅ Build capacity on EIA’s, improve understanding of S30 Application process and position EIA’s as tools for impact analysis, not delays.
Integrating environmental sustainability into service delivery such as air quality and waste management.
✅ Ensure effective MIG expenditure so communities see visible change faster.
We are not here to talk. We are here to account, to coordinate, and to deliver.
