- Reporting Structure: The post reports to Chief Fire Officer
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Diploma in Fire Technology or equivalent
- Fire fighter 3 Certificate
- Hazmat Awareness Certificate
- Basic life support Certificate
- Valid Code C1 Driver’s License with PrDP
- Computer literacy Certificate
- 03 years’ experience in Fire and Rescue environment
Key Performance Areas:
- To perform and coordinate various supervision, administrative and technical tasks associated with emergency service delivery, fire station management, operations and maintenance, fire and life safety and training to ensure the delivery of effective and efficient emergency services to save lives and property as far as possible in terms of the Fire Brigade Services Act (Act 99 of 1987).
- Coordinates and contributes to the section’s Strategical Operation plan pertaining to firefighting services.
- Coordinate the contribution to the Section fire and rescue services Policies, Procedures and Controls pertaining to firefighting services. Coordinating, firefighting tasks/duties.
- Minimizing the risk of loss of life and property. Coordinate and contribute to the community services fire and rescue services Financial and Asset Management pertaining to firefighting services.
- Coordinate and control the Key Performance Indicator’s and outcomes of personnel within the firefighting services Sub-Section.
