CREDIT CONTROLLER AND DEBT COLLECTION OFFICER

  • Task Grade: 09 (Subject to Job Evaluation outcomes)
  • Annual Salary: (R 290 273,74 – R 376 821,72) excluding benefits
  • Stationed at Mthatha
  • Reports to District Credit Controller

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Degree in Financial Accounting
  • Customer Care Certificate
  • 1 Year Certificate in Credit Control and Debt Management
  • Computer Literacy Certificate
  • EB Driver’s License
  •  

Key Performance Areas:

  • Facilitating credit control and debt collection through set processes, procedures and effective customer care to ensure effective revenue management and make meaningful contribution to the Debtors Reports in terms of section 71(a) of the Municipal Finance Management Act.
  • Facilitating input into the sub-section’s Strategical plan pertaining to Credit Controller and Debt Collection Services
  • Facilitating inputs into the sub-section’s Policies, Procedures and Controls pertaining to Credit Controller and Debt Collection Services
  • Identifying and analyses the status of consumer accounts as per the provision of the Credit Control and Debt Collection as well as the Indigent Policy
  • Initiating and implementing Credit Control processes
  • Implementing the legal processes associated with debt collection within the ambits of legislation
  • Facilitating input into the sub-section’s Financial and Asset Management pertaining to Credit Controller and Debt Collection Services
  • Facilitating and controls the Key Performance Indicator’s and outcomes of personnel within the Sub Section
  • Facilitating sound customer relations as well good internal and external communication
  • Facilitating the administrative and reporting requirements of the functionality Credit Controller and Debt Collection Services
  • Facilitating inputs towards efficient and effective audit processes pertaining to Credit Controller and Debt Collection Services
