  • 5 years in Disaster Management of which 3 years should be in a managerial position

Minimum Requirements:

  • 03 Year Degree in Social Sciences/B-Tech in Disaster Management
  • Computer literacy – Office applications
  • 05 year’s relevant experience of which 03 years’ must be at a supervisory level
  • Code EB Driver’s License

Key Performance Areas: Identifies and defines the immediate, short and long term objectives and plans associated with the provision, support and maintenance of the Business Unit (BU) and Infrastructure. Manages the implementation of specific procedures, systems and controls to guide user interface and system applications. Aligns and implements critical objectives encompassed in approved long and short term plans to guide the functioning and priorities of the Disaster Management functionality. Manages and controls the implementation of plans, procedures, systems and controls associated with risk assessment and monitoring, risk reduction and mitigation, preparedness, recovery and rehabilitation sequences, education and awareness interventions. Manages operative requirements and procedures during potential and actual disasters. Assists the Director in preparing capital and operating estimates and controls expenditure against the approved budget allocations. Interacts and represents the Municipality on aspects related to the BU. Overseeing administrative processes, System utilization and functionality.
