O.R. Tambo District Municipality

  • Position to be stationed in Mthatha, Eastern Cape
  • Reporting Structure: The post reports to Manager Employee Wellness & IPMS

Qualifications

  • National Diploma in Industrial Psychology Social Science/ Psychology or an equivalent qualification in a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in performance management, human resources, or a related  
  • Proficiency in relevant labor laws, performance management frameworks, and municipal policies.
  • Computer proficiency, including MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Implementation of Performance Management System: Facilitate the implementation of the municipality’s performance management system and ensure it aligns with key performance indicators and strategic objectives. 
  • Monitoring & Evaluation: Monitor the performance of individual employees, ensuring regular evaluation and the generation of performance reports.
  • Capacity Building: Conduct training and workshops for staff on performance management processes, targets, and outcomes.
  • Policy Compliance: Ensure all performance management processes comply with the OR Tambo District Municipality’s policies and legal requirements.
  • Departmental Support: Offer technical and advisory support to departments on performance management processes and assist with troubleshooting any related challenges.
  • Record-Keeping: Maintain an accurate and comprehensive database of all performance management activities, including performance agreements, reviews, and feedback.
