Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Degree in Transport Management
  • CPMD
  • Code EB Driving License
  • 04 years’ in relevant experience of which 2 years must be in middle management in the Local Government or Public Sector
  • Registration with relevant professional bodies

Key Performance Areas:

  • Manage the key performance areas associated with fleet management and auxiliary services functionality of the municipality in accordance with laid down legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Manage the implementation of series of outcomes associated with plans and programmes designed to accomplish the service delivery objectives.
  • Develop policies and procedures, systems, control relating to fleet management and auxiliary services.
  • Lead fleet acquisition, maintenance, and disposal functions.
  • Manage the control systems and processes.
  • Manage the insurance of Council vehicles.
  • Lead and guides the provision of auxiliary services to the municipality.
  • Manage and control outcomes associated with the utilisation, productivity and performance of personnel.
  • Lead the financial budgeting and control for fleet Management and Auxiliary Services.
  • Lead in administration and reporting in ensuring the fleet management and auxiliary services processes is compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Mapping mechanisms for maintaining relationships with National, Provincial and Local Government.
