SECRETARY TO CHIEF WHIP
- Permanent
- Task Grade: 07 (Subject to Job Evaluation results)
- Annual Basic Salary: (R 225 629,73 – R 292 851,87) excluding benefits
- Position to be stationed in Mthatha, Eastern Cape
- Reports to Chief of Staff
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Diploma in Public Relations / Office Management & Technology
- Certificate in Computer Literacy
- Code EB Driver’s License
- 01-year experience in Office Environment
Key Performance Areas:
- Providing support to the departments and broader Municipality Strategic Planning Sessions. Contributing to the implementation of specific services procedures, systems and controls. Providing personal support to the Director Superior. Contributing to the overall budget, stakeholder management and communication. Maintaining and access records of discussions, instructions and correspondence.
- Scheduling and updating appointments on behalf of the immediate superior
- Collating items for discussions, preparing the agenda and notices pertaining to the budget and treasury office and standing committee meetings
- Arranging logistics for scheduled meetings and other related sittings specific to the concerned Member of Mayoral Committee (MMC) in accordance with requirements.
- Perusing Council and Committee agendas and minutes of meetings and identifying items requiring the attention of the MMC.
