This quarter, the Office of the Speaker went beyond the Council chamber and walked directly into our communities.
Through Civic Education programmes, as outlined in the poster, the Speaker listened, taught, clarified and rebuilt something our people desperately needed, trust and hope.
These sessions mattered because they helped our people understand their rights, how the Municipality works, and how their voices shape service delivery. They turned confusion into clarity… distance into partnership.
And what does this say about us as a Municipality?
It says we are choosing accountability, transparency, and people at the centre. It says we are turning the corner, not in words, but in presence.
Next, the Office of the Speaker will host a District Stakeholder Engagement Session to deepen dialogue and strengthen participation.
