  • Reporting Structure: The post reports to the General Manager Expenditure, Revenue, Reporting AFS

Minimum Requirements:

  • Com Degree in Accounting/B-Tech in Accounting
  • Certificate in Credit Control and Debt Management
  • Certificate Programme in Municipal Development – Municipal Finance (CPMD-MF),
  • Customer Care Certificate will be an added advantage
  • Computer Literacy Certificate
  • 05 year’s relevant experience of which 03 years’ must be at a supervisory level
  • Code EB Driver’s License

Key performance Areas: Manages the key performance and result indicators associated with Revenue Management through implementation of laid down legislation, regulations, By-laws, policies and procedures dictating financial reporting and recording requirements, to ensure continuous, effective and efficient revenue collection and financial sustainability of the municipality. Develops sub-sectional strategy and ensure implementation. Managing the implementation of specific procedures, systems and controls associated with key functional areas embodied in the Revenue Management Sub-section’s structure. Manage the development and maintenance of systems, policies, procedures and processes. Manages the short to medium term objectives and priorities of the sub-section, Revenue Management, encapsulating data management, meter reading, billing, indigent support, credit control and reporting functions. Manages applications and sequences associated with recording, authorization and execution of revenue transactions. Manages applications and sequences associated with recording, adjustment and updating of the Municipality’s debtor related transactions and accounts. Managing the monitoring of the provision of free basic services to the indigent population of the municipality. Manages applications and sequences associated with recording, adjustment and updating of the Municipality’s debtor related transactions and accounts. Manage the Information Technology systems and applications. Manages contracts for revenue-related activities. Manages the compliance with MSCOA Project. •    Manage that monthly billing is done, accounts rendered and sent to consumers. Preparing capital and operating estimates and controls expenditure against the approved Revue Management Services budget allocations. Manages and controls the Key Performance Indicator’s and outcomes of personnel within the Revenue Management Services Sub-section. Manage the Sub- Section’s Stakeholder Management and Communication. Manages the administrative and reporting requirements of the Sub- Section Revenue Management Services.  Consolidate efficient and effective Revenue Management Services audit processes.
